Spring Fever

Spring Fever.
I think I've got it. Right around the second week of March I always get a little restless and feel the need to go shopping for anything. Toys, clothes, shoes, cleaning supplies. Whatever. But usually my thoughts always stray to that '80's classic, Ferris Bueller's Day Off. That whole movie was about Spring Fever. I loved it then, and love it now. They tour Chicago, go to lunch, go to the museum, go to a Cubs game (go Cubs!), go to a parade and just have a fantastic time forgetting about all their problems. Great movie.
I also the urge to watch baseball. Enough of these indoor sports. Done with hockey (the ice will melt). Done with basketball. Well, almost. I do like the college March Madness stuff. No NBA, how about that. Done with all indoor things. Give us fresh air, give us sunshine. Give us skirts, tank tops and flip flops. No socks please.
Give us baseball. And lead us into summer, fall and winter again.
